Concept Statement

SpaceGame is a top down age of sail in space combat game.

Concept creation process/influences\

Initially inspired by StarCraft's space missions, where you gather resources to fight the Pirate Mira's forces, I realised that the simple controls of a RTS are not enough for a game in its own right. As such I looked to the ship combat in Assassins creed Black Flag, with its focus on broadsides and manoeuvring to defeat enemies that may be quicker, larger, or better armoured.

Audience and competitive analysis

The primary audience are people who like sci-fi. And ME.

Game treatment and concept art

You control a ship captained by the space magician Aurora, as she fights to destroy the subspace inhibitor, preventing the Empire's Main Battle Fleet from emerging and destroying the Xenos.
